Telehealth therapy by video

No one is born feeling anxious and sad, though I’m sure that trip down the birth canal was no picnic! We pick up negative messages, intended or not, as we develop and grow. Even as mature and self sufficient adults, we don’t always know how to process these messages. That’s when anxiety and other negative feelings about ourselves can set in.

Every journey begins with the first step.  You’ve decided you want to change the way you feel by understanding what is making you feel less than your best.  Choosing Peace Counseling Services can offer you the tools necessary to understand the past, manage the present and approach the future with hope.

Online counseling involves using live video as opposed to going to a therapist’s office.  It is similar to using a platform like Skype, except you will be using a HIPAA compliant platform necessary to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your counseling experience.  HIPAA is the Healthcare Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (1996).  Skype and Facetime are not HIPAA compliant platforms for telemental health and should be avoided. You will need a laptop, smartphone, tablet or desktop, as well as reliable internet access.  I use the HIPAA compliant video conferencing service Doxy.

In order to facilitate a session, I will send you a link.
